Having spent 15 years playing professionally, and 10 years learning my trade at club and minor counties, I had to be resilient, seek information and learn a lot about myself which I believe gives me a greater understanding and appreciation for the journey to becoming a professional and then to kick on and be a successful professional.
With the benefit of enjoying a successful playing career and a unique route into the first class game, I feel I am well rounded in the knowledge required to transition from talented amateur to professional.
Couple the ability and willingness to work hard with a mental resilience, I really feel in a strong position to help others improve their own game.
Since coaching on a more regular basis, I have discovered a passion to help other players improve and explore their own games, while having fun in a relaxed environment.
I specialise in seam, swing and fast bowling due to my own career, but am also able to coach spin bowling, wicket keeping, batting and fielding to individuals, groups and teams at a very high standard.

Developing a successful relationship with Jack was really easy due to his extensive knowledge of the game and easy-going nature.
Being able to share ideas and challenges throughout the sessions made it easier for me to develop an understanding and feel of what I needed to do. Being a professional cricketer himself, he also shared a wide variety of tactical experiences about the game, as well as being able to correct technique or encourage different solutions.
He's a great character, creating a really relaxed environment. For me, this was the key to our success.

I was fortunate enough to work with Jack at Yorkshire 2013-2016 having recruited him from Northamptonshire.
His energy and enthusiasm were very infectious and he played an important role in cultivating a winning culture at the club through his desire to always look to improve and get better. He worked with his teammates and support staff to get the very best out of everybody. A fantastic team man and a delight to coach.
Jack is now transitioning into coaching and his dedication and enthusiasm will rub off on all the players under his care.

Firstly, Brooksy is an incredible person before anything. The support he has given to my family and I and the relationship we have developed is something I am extremely lucky for. Alongside being an immense coach, Jack genuinely cares for your development as a player and person. Getting the opportunity to share the same dressing room as him is one thing, but having such a decorated senior player want to offload and teach their knowledge and experiences to you is a whole new ball game.
Being coached by such a successful player is always a massive privilege because you can really put your faith in him, because he has been there and done it!
