MY STORY
︾
Playing village cricket at my local club Tiddington in Oxfordshire until the age of 20, I moved to Oxford CC and made my way into the Oxfordshire team and Surrey's second XI, before being signed by Northamptonshire in 2008.
I made my first class debut in 2009 against the touring Australians, picking up the wicket of Andrew McDonald and getting Mitchell Johnson caught in the slips in an over. I made my Championship debut a month later and managed to pick up 4 for 76 and 1 for 38 to help beat Derbyshire by two wickets at Chesterfield.
2011 was a fruitful season when I took 43 first-class wickets at 21.90, and managed get my new best figures of 5 for 23 against Leicestershire, bowling them out for just 48.
Following this successful season I earned a call-up to the England Performance Programme and at the end of 2012 and moved north to Yorkshire where I enjoyed five brilliant years, winning back-to-back County Championships in 2014 and 2015. On May 21st 2017, I made my maiden first-class hundred in a Division One "Roses" match at Old Trafford against Lancashire.
In 2019, I moved to Somerset which I loved every minute of my time in Taunton, winning the T20 Blast in 2023.
